FIFA’s hammer: NANF resolves to thrash issues out of court

Hope has appeared on the horizon for Nigerian football following the resolutions of the parties involved in the court case instituted by the National Association of Nigerian Footballers (NANF), against the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) and electoral committee on the election that the case would be resolved out of court.

The world Football Governing Body had on Monday, suspended the country from its activities alleging government interferance pending the time all issues on the matter is resolved. Indications to this emerged on Wednessday after a reconciliation meeting convened at the instance of Dr Amos Adamu and Dr Rafiu Ladipo, President General, Nigeria Football Supporters Club held in Lagos.

At a meeting attended by NANF president, Harrison Jalla and his lawyer, Bello Aideloje, Taribo West, among others, the parties led by NANF President, Harrison Jala all amicably resolved that the issue be resolved out of court and that the agreement signed should be forwarded to FIFA so that the match against Guinea can go ahead.

Speaking after the meeting, Jalla said that the decision to resolve the matter out of court was done in the interest of the country, saying, “we should all understand that our country is greater than all of us or an individual or a group of people. This will also allow our team play this sunday,” he said
And in his response, Adamu who flew from Abuja for the meeting promised that he will liaise with FIFA on the matter now that it has been agreed by the parties involved have all agreed to setle out of court , and he also thanked Jala for finally agreeing to settle out of court after several meetings.
